About
Natalie Cooper, editor, Changeboard
I’m an adventurer by heart and have found myself in some pretty crazy situations over the years; from getting lost in the Yellow Mountains, in Hangzhou, China, to being locked up in a tin shack in Ischigualasto Park (Moon Valley), Argentina. Travel has been a passion of mine since a young age when I dreamt of discovering faraway lands and places.
I have a fascination for different cultures, love roaming off the beaten track and listening to various tales along the way. Coming across new faces and interacting with people from all walks of life keeps me inspired. That’s why I love being a journalist.
I’ve also been known to swim in the Thames, cycle at fast speeds down dangerous hills, and hit a shuttlecock to outmanoeuvre my opponent in matches.

Originally from Yorkshire, I firmly believe a cup of tea solves everything! It was quite a culture shock moving from the frozen north to the big smoke. From one bus an hour to tubes every minute was practically mind blowing. Luckily I walk to work these days so don’t have a commute to start and end my working day.
I’m a great fan of all things glitzy; particularly Strictly Come Dancing. I also love theatre and have trodden the boards a few times, including playing the Edinburgh Festival.
One issue that’s very close to my heart is inclusion and equal opportunities for all; in the workplace and everyday life. I’ve done a lot of charity work for people with special needs and have personal experience of disabilities which has led me to feel passionately about inclusion.
